Wanted: Garden Club Members

Positions Open:

Nature lovers, bird watchers, gardeners, plant lovers, floral designers, conservationists, and anyone interested in any of the above.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to:
  • See beauty and colors;
  • Smell fragrances and clean air;
  • Touch earth, flowers and plants;
  • Enjoy the songs and beauty of birds.

Age Limit:

From 10 to 100 years or above


Must have walked barefoot in the grass, picnicked in the park, hiked in the woods, stopped to smell the roses, planted a seed, or have had the desire to do so.

Fringe Benefits:

New friendships with other garden club members everywhere, confidence in growing and arranging flowers, pride in accomplishments.

Open Membership:

Membership in Lake Jackson Garden Club is open to all and visitors are always welcome.


Only $20.00 per year. A real bargain.


Friendly and educational monthly meetings where gardening and learning from interesting speakers who are specialist in their fields. Enjoy seeing unusual plants from the Horticulture Report.


The club year is from September through May on the second Wednesday of the month.

Time of Meeting

9:30am for Coffee and Refreshments
10:00am for the Business Meeting followed by the Program.
